Whilst driving home the sky's were rapidly filling with balloons from Pidley, practicing target drops around the fields, a distracting sight for motorists but enthralling for adults and children alike.

Sunday in the Welsh Valley's
Stormy sky's looking out over Pontypool
The hills behind, full with the screams of mountain bikers.
The fields were used for ponies and sheep with the odd hawk or kestrel ? nesting in the hills, too quick to make out what it was..
An old pumping station, lying amongst many scatterings of old mining slag heaps, now home to the wildlife.
One of many village churches
In front of the church stands the village
garages, that are many years old some barely standing...
A valleys home, an endless line of well kept cottages, well over 100 in the street from the base of the hill to the top, built into the hill with 3 tier gardens
The Gates to Pontypool park at the base of the valley entrance.
